Day Two - Worts + Cunning's 30 Plant Ally Project Thirty Day Challenge

Today is Day Two of my first 30 Day Plant Ally Challenge!

To fill you in, read my FB post from yesterday (1/1/16) below discussing Day One's assignment and outlining my intention for this project.

"It has taken me a while to commit myself to this, but as I was planning my personal and professional goals for 2016, I thought: What better time than now!? By the end of the year I hope to have completed this project with 12 herbs. It is my intent to study herbs that are extremely common and found in most of our every day lives, yet those who's power and majesty are often over looked.

Today is Day One of the 30 day plant ally project: Set your intention~
My intention for my first Plant Ally is to truly deepen my relationship with an herb that I am already familiar with. I not only want to become this herbs friend and companion, but her mutual ally and advocate as well.

Tune in tomorrow for to find out which herbal ally I am delving into first! Day Two~ Choose the plant you’ll be working with or let it choose you.

Day Two ~
Choose the plant you'll be working with or let it choose you.

I have thought about this decision for quite some time (at least during the last few days as I was talking myself into doing this challenge). It's not like I won't have the opportunity to do another plant, why was I so hung up on which plant to work with first? I guess I just wanted it to really count. For that reason, I choose the common, resilient, under-looked, brilliant, and taken for granted:

Dandelion!!!

It may be a little bit of a cheat, since the dandelion is one of the first herbal allies many herbalist's are introduced or drawn to. I have a longing to deepen my relationship with dandelion, and hope to learn how to embrace and harness her amazing power even further.

Tune in for Day Three tomorrow!
