Learn about the habitat of your plant ally
Day 4- Learn about the habitat of your plant ally.
Where is your plant native to? Where has it naturalized? Does it grow locally? What type of environment does it thrive in?
Well this is an easy one!
Dandelions, as you know, are , as some will call it, invasive. I will say persistent. When I was a kid I remember complaining about being bored, then got sent to pull dandelions, for hours, They're everywhere (here in Texas anyway), and persistent. If only back then we knew what an amazing ally those pesky plants actually were?! Since I've begun my SNH (School of Natural Healing) studies, and even before that, I have not been able to shut up about how wonderful dandelions are and how badly we all need them in our lives!
Where can dandelions be found? Pretty much Everywhere. For real. Kind of. Taraxacum originated in Europe/Asia, but is found in all populated regions in the northern hemisphere. As you already know, Dandelions thrive in grasslands, pastures, meadows, wastelands. .. Well that pretty much answers that. ;)
