Catching up on last week

Hi guys! I really have been wanting to stay up to date on my blog, even if that means telling you guys what I ate for breakfast and what I bought at the grocery store. Just kidding, hopefully I have more to write about than that! And if not, I know it's time to get out of the house!

Tobasco pepper plant out front is super tall and full! Mmmmm

I got to have brunch with my favorite family last Friday. It had been wayyy to long since I had seen them, so it was great to chat over a huge french press of coffee and catch up! That little booger of theirs has grown sooo much, and he's talking like crazy! Stop growing please!

That Saturday I went over to swim at my mom's house! Even though the temperature got over 100°, and the pool felt more like bath water, it was a nice break from the heat and spending so much time inside. The dogs loveee to swim, well all of them but Lola, so that's always hours of entertainment watching them dive into the pool after their toys. And they hog the floaties too, but they run the house, so we just smile and keep swimming.
Pool time with Tiny Dancer!
Lola getting some shade after I insisted on cooling her off in the pool. She's only slightly ticked off.

Sunday I got together with an old friend. We got some coffee at Avoca, which was delicious, then went to the Fort Worth Modern Art Museum! It had been quite a while since either of us had been to the Modern, and there were some really cool pieces on display! After the museum we had brunch and called it a day. Here are a few pieces that caught my attention-
I would put this in my house!

"Das Erdbeben In Chili"

Warhol Self portrait

"Tidal Wave" by Banksy

"Pharmaceutical Cabinet" by Bror Utter
Looks kinda like my apothecary! ;)

This piece is named "Elke" which is my mom's name- got a chuckle from that.

I forget what this one was called. But interesting for sure.

When something kinda makes you woozy and question everything you've seen... That's art!

This piece is titled "Paradise" Closest I've been to a forest paradise in a few weeks. :(

Monday afternoon I went to visit another friend and old coworker who had her baby a few weeks ago! It was so great to see her and catch up. It had been a few months since the last time we got to see one another. It was fantastic to finally meet her beautiful baby boy!! Seems like ALL of my friends have boys! At least that's the pattern I've picked up on.. More baby boyfies for me!
Sweet baby!

I actually had a great interview last week.. But I'm going to save those details for my next blog post. I'm definitely ready to get back to work, wherever that may be! Linds is getting low on bacon! ;)

As always, thanks for reading and all the support and encouragement. Just a few kind words go an amazingly long way. Stay tuned for some exciting news in my next blog post. Can't wait to share with you!
